The Carmarthenshire Centre for Crafts is situated in the heart of St. Clears in beautiful rural Carmarthenshire. Originally a mill, then the Farmers’ Co-Operative Stores, in its new guise this lovely stone building retains much of its original character and still acts as a focal point within the town.
The building contains
and offers a wide variety of facilities, events and activities, including classes and demonstrations, exhibitions and a paint–your-own pottery studio.
The vision for the building is that it will be a resource for both local people and for visitors to the area, providing artistic and cultural opportunities, business support and a meeting place for the community.
The Carmarthenshire Centre for Crafts building is an historical landmark in an ancient landscape - the town of St. Clears has a rich heritage reaching back to medieval times and beyond. Now, in the 21st century, we hope that the newly refurbished building will become a busy, exciting place, offering opportunities, events and new experiences to everyone who visits.
